Kevin Smith, vicepresidente de Operaciones de la Corporaci\u00f3n de Soluci\u00f3n de Controversias sobre Frutas y Hortalizas (DRC), asisti\u00f3 a la reuni\u00f3n XXIII del Comit\u00e9 del Codex sobre Frutas y Hortalizas Frescas (CCFFV), celebrada en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico del 25 de febrero al 1\u00b0 de marzo de 2025. Este evento desempe\u00f1a un papel integral en el compromiso internacional de la DRC.<\/p>\n

El Codex Alimentarius es un organismo internacional que establece normas alimentarias, las cu\u00e1les, junto con textos relacionados, tienen como objetivo proteger la salud de los consumidores y garantizar pr\u00e1cticas justas en el comercio de alimentos. El Codex Alimentarius orienta el establecimiento de requisitos alimentarios para mejorar el comercio internacional.<\/p>\n

El CCFFV desarrolla normas espec\u00edficas para frutas y verduras frescas. En el pasado, la DRC asisti\u00f3 al CCFFV como parte de la delegaci\u00f3n canadiense. Este a\u00f1o, reconociendo que la DRC ha ampliado recientemente su jurisdicci\u00f3n m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de Am\u00e9rica del Norte, asistimos utilizando nuestro estatus oficial de observador del Codex. La DRC particip\u00f3 con delegaciones gubernamentales y otros observadores: la Organizaci\u00f3n para la Cooperaci\u00f3n y el Desarrollo Econ\u00f3micos (OCDE) y la Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para Europa de las Naciones Unidas (CEPE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
